The UK government's green advisor, Jonathon Porritt, says couples who have more than two children are irresponsible. He recommends more abortions and contraception as a means to save the environment.I wonder what he thinks about Australia's baby bonus. ;-) My advice to the UK government is don't abort them. Send them to Australia. Our government will pay good money for them.

it doesn't matter how many children you have, so long as they are all looked after and they are all given the highest levels of inspiration possible.
but he does have a point... the earth cannot sustain 6 billion people...
6 billion free, well educated, democratically represented people? Easily.
The problem is the distribution of resources, not a physical lack thereof.
People afraid of population should jump on a jet and fly over Russia, Alaska and northern Canada and then North Africa and Australia. The fact is, there's hardly a person there. The northern areas have lots of water but are very cold. Technological solutions are not hard to find. Australia and North Africa lack water, but again, technology can provide answers. Overpopulated? No way.
